About Us

Ron Wade headed a highly successful surfboard manufacturing and retail business in Mona Vale, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Within a short time he also set-up a surfboard manufacturing and retail shop on the Queensland Gold Coast.

Ron also sponsored a very competitive surf team to further enhance his performance driven surfboard designs. During the 1960s and 1970s Ron was responsible for some of Australia's hottest surfers getting an opportunity to gain experience working in the surfing industry, or being selected to participate in his surf team: Richard Harvey, Ted Spencer, Bruce Channon, Col Smith (Narrabeen), Tony Dempsey (Qld), Ian Goodacre, Rob Staniford, and Colin Gow, just to name a few, have been associated at some time with Ron Wade Surfboards.

In 1978 Ron decided on a new career path in real estate, specialising in beachside coastal properties. Ron has been associated with selling properties to some of Australia's best known surfers, so he has continued to keep his finger on the pulse of what is going on Ron Wade Real Estate.

Many requests have been made for Ron to make boards in the past, his reputation for producing high quality surfboards staying with him.

Now Ron is proud to present a new specific range of longboards and mini mals, designed to suit the beginner through to the experienced surfer.

Currently we are offering six models, with some additional ones coming later. Custom shaped boards will also be available at an additional charge due to extra time taken.
